Recently I have been suffering with burnout I have been putting too much pressure on myself to revive Sigma, to go through lockdown, to continue to work on myself, to keep up with a strong exercise routine and also just keep on top my mental health. It wasn't until I took a step back and allowed my body to rest did I start to recover from burnout.
When you are stressed your body is pumping lots of hormones into your body such as dopamine which means you already being bombarded by a lot of stress hormones. The last thing that you want to be doing when you are doing intense exercise is pumping more hormones into your body such as serotonin and adrenaline. If you are going through a stressful time, I'd highly recommend exercise but if you are in an extreme case of burnout take a step back and focus more on leisurely things.
Focus on things
that are also going to make you happy such as your hobbies which are not
fitness related or if you are adamant on exercising focus on light exercise
instead such as a light jog or a light dumbbell workout. Reframe from anything
that is intense because you are already under extreme stress and pressure and
your body is already in an intense state of mind so what you want to do is
reduce that as much as possible.
